We had seen the use of an innovative material in Decoesfera, the silicone, in the manufacture of interesting objects for the home, such as the silicone collapsible colander or sets of utensils, in both cases put on the market by Lékué which, in 1999, was the first company to obtain the European and American patent for the manufacture of pastry in Platinum silicone moulds.
Now it is a Spanish company, the signing of lighting B. lux, It has used this material to create Bellaflor, a collection of decorative luminaires, with an aesthetic that is reminiscent of the tulips, designed by Beppe Benenti.
Silicone is the material used in the manufacture of the diffuser, composed of three leaves mouldable. With a simple and intuitive movement we can open one, two or three petals that make up the screen, which allows us to regular manually the output of light. Silica responds perfectly to these demands of the diffuser movement, since it guarantees flexibility and stability of the leaves in their different positions. In addition, as we all know, this material is resistant to the high temperatures.
Bellaflor screen is available in several finishes: white, yellow, red and blue. All of them marketed are functions of table, floor, suspension, ceiling and wall. Table and floor versions incorporate also dimmer. Certainly an interesting contribution.
